Halloween is quite big in the Philippines and so are the Halloween parties. Every year there are lots of Halloween parties in Manila. Every big club has their own Halloween party. The party crowd in the Philippines loves to dress up for Halloween and for some parties a costume is even mandatory.

Halloween is on a Wednesday this year, but the Thursday and Friday after are public holidays in the Philippines, so you can expect the clubs to be packed. Some clubs also have their Halloween parties in the weekend before or after Halloween.

IMPERIAL IS NOW CLOSED!

Imperial Ice Bar is Manila’s new HOT spot (pun intended). The bar consists of 2 parts, a stylish bar/lounge area, complete with DJ booth and nightclub interior and the actual ice bar.

In the ice bar, located in the back, you can enjoy Russian Standard’s Imperial Vodka at -5 degrees Celsius. To get into the actual ice bar you have to pay a one time fee of Php 550, which allows you 15 minutes inside and includes 2 Imperial Vodka shots. Before you step into the ice bar you enter a small room where you will be provided with a warm winter jacket, gloves and hat. You then enter the ice bar where literally everything is sculpted out of ice, including the bar, the tables, the seats, the decor and even the shot glasses.
At the bar you can order your Imperial Vodka shots. You can chose from 3 infused flavors: Lychee, Mango and Pineapple. For those that want to drink more shots, you can purchase additional shots for Php 275.

The vodka shots really help you to stay warm in the -5 degrees Celsius bar, but for many it will be hard to last the full 20 minutes inside the freezing temperatures. When you had enough you return your jacket and step back into the lounge area where you can enjoy premium drinks, cocktails and Russian inspired bar snacks.

The lounge area has an awesome interior and includes a DJ booth, standing tables, couches and a huge bar. Here you can continue the rest of your night while enjoying some great cocktails (or other drinks, including full bottle service). The DJs make sure to keep the party going all night.

Imperial Ice Bar also has a VIP room for groups that like a more private experience. The VIP room has big screen TV on which you can watch a live feed from the camera in the ice bar.

Imperial Ice Bar is definitely something you just have to check out. A great experience, good music, nice food and an awesome interior.  It’s a great addition to Manila’s nightlife.

The Cabana Club at Republiq

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2014: REPUBLIQ IS NOW CLOSED (and will not re-open). They have launched a club called Universe next door (at the old Opus location). 

The Cabana Club at Republiq is a brand new VIP clubbing room at Republiq Club in Resorts World Manila. It is a separate VIP-only club inside of Republiq Club with it’s own DJ booth and 2 bars.

Republiq Cabana Club has 2 floors and 8 private VIP rooms in various sizes. Each VIP room has it’s own restroom and can be closed with curtains for ultimate privacy. On the dance floor there are several cocktail tables with the setting of a waterfall on the back wall.

The club has it’s own bars and DJ booth, but it also has direct access to Republiq’s main room.

Prohibition Liquor Lounge

Prohibition Liquor Lounge Manila is an exclusive bar / lounge / club located on the third floor in Greenbelt 3 in Makati.  It is one of the newest hotspots in the Manila.

Prohibition Liquor Lounge is sort of a hidden ‘secret’ room by Dillingers 1903 themed as an early 1900s speakeasy bar (when alcohol was prohibited and was illegally sold in hidden bars). You enter the place trough a tunnel. There is a main club room and roof terrace. There are weekly clubnights with DJs that play various types of music such as disco, funky house, hiphop (depending on the day).

Clubs in Quezon City

There have been quite some changes in the QC club scene recently. There are 2 brand ‘new’ clubs, and another is about to open. Exciting news for those who like to party in Quezon City.

The club scene in QC is quite different from the club scene in some of the clubs in areas like BGC (Fort Bonifacio), Makati and Resorts World. The QC crowd is more laid back, usually a bit younger and the main reason to go out is just to party and have a good time. In QC there is not so much ‘to see and be seen’, strict dress codes, high entrance fees and cheap girls looking to pickup expats. QC is different. The crowd just wants to party and there is a lot of that in Quezon City. There is always some place to have a great time, every day of the week. Most Quezon City nightlife is found in the Tomas Morato/Timog Avenue area and Eastwood City.

7th High Club

UPDATE September 2013: 7th High is currently closed for renovation. We are not sure if/when the club will re-open.

7th High is a club located in The Fort (Bonifacio Global City), Manila along 7th Steet between 29th and 30th street (next to Bonifacio High Street) in the building that previously housed Club Ascend. Inside 7thHigh there are three areas: The APEX Lounge, which is used for live performances, dining reservations and private functions, The Club, which is the main club and fits 500+ people, and  The Club Room, which is more like a VIP lounge with VIP suites and concierge service.

The club has a great atmosphere, good DJs and and awesome crowd that loves to party. The club is a bit darker than some of the other clubs, and the crowd is a bit younger. Unlike some of the other clubs, the majority of the people come to the club to party (not so much to see and be seen or to pick up expats), which gives the club a great party vibe!

The regular DJs (and MCs) that play in 7th high are some of the best of the country and know how to keep the crowd moving and moving.

Besides the regular DJs 7th High club regularly invites international DJs to play in the club. Some DJs that have previously played at 7th High are Discotech, Ross One, Eric DLux, Crystal Q, Junior, Jazzy Jeff, and DJ Craze, just to name a few. The club has also hosted several concert after parties featuring international artists such as Bruno Mars, Apl de Ap (Black Eyed Peas) and Mike Posner.

The Club is currently open 3 nights a week (Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays). The club is open from 10pm until 4am.

– Friday: Heaven Fridays (Hosted by Daylight Productions. Music: Dubstep, House, Mash-up and Top40)

One of them is a fully private room which has a private balcony overlooking the main club, the other one is even more private and even has it’s own entrance to enter the club without having to go trough the normal club entrance. It has a glass window to look into the main room and full karaoke equipment etc.
